Petra Penz

Petra Penz is an abstract artist who lives and works in Balingen, southern Germany. After studying at the Art Center College of Design (Europe), she dedicated herself to design, while art always remained present as a companion in the background. Since 2020, her focus has been on artistic work, and through intensive studies with master artists such as Professor Markus Lüpertz and Daniela Kammerer, she developed her abstract visual language.

In her large-format works, she explores the hidden layers of our existence – the tension between digital superficiality and authentic being, between societal mask and inner self. The creative process unfolds as a meditative journey, in which emotional responses emerge through multiple layers.

Her works have been presented in galleries across Europe, currently in the exhibition "Zwischen Einander" at the Rathaus Gallery Balingen (until May 2025), and are held in private collections throughout Europe and the United States.
